High-efficiency and low-cost catalyst for water electrolysis

A research team in DGIST has newly developed metal-rich graphitic nanocarbon layers encapsulated electrocatalysts and introduce as cheapest electrode materials for the cost-effective hydrogen gas generation via water electrolysis. It is expected to be used to replace all the state-of-the-art precious metal electrocatalysts of oxygen evolution reaction (OER).
